The transformation will include campgrounds, RV spaces and a pop-up hotel - including a pop-up pool - for people looking for accommodations during both weekends of Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival and the weekend of the Stagecoach Country Music Festival. In April, five acres of the giant lot will transform into Village 29. The vision for the 47-acre property includes outdoor concerts, car shows, various festivals, farmers markets, soccer fields and temporary lodging for the Coachella Valley’s biggest music festivals. Multiple Southern California casinos have expansions underway to include larger footprints, hotel towers, pools and event spaces and Spotlight 29 Casino is jumping in on the growth trend in a less traditional way.Īdjacent to the casino on tribal land in the Coachella area is a large dirt field that the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians will transform into a permanent space, Coachella Crossroads, that will be utilized for temporary events.
